KbyKareen handKrafted jewelry designs feature the unique handKrafted fine Italian glass beads and sterling silver designs inspired by Kjelstrom’s Polynesian heritage. Born in Hawaii and raised in California, Kjelstrom spent her formative years on the coast of the Pacific (her mother is Tahitian). She now splits her time between studios in Paris and Los Angeles. Her extensive travels and diverse cultural influences are reflected in each KbyKareen piece.

Established in 2000, KbyKareen handKrafted jewelry designs are individually created with precise manual work. The handcrafted glass beads are made from Effetre ( fine Italian glass) and the settings are hand-formed sterling silver. This self-taught lampwork artist melts glass at 900 ° C using an oxygen/propane mix torch. Semi-precious stones are often incorporated to accent her creations.
